My “hot take” as a Christian is that I support joy over judgement. Happy pride everyone! Love the lord and be joyful, spread kindness and cherish your people. This life is more than hate and bigotry.

I grew up afraid & resentful of Christians because I knew myself to be queer from a very young age and often saw them depicted as a threat to my existence. I’m happy to say that as an adult that perception has been disproven to me! these days, given the political climate in the US, I notice that many churches in my city even hang up a pride flag or two to signal their commitment to the assertion that “all are welcome”. grateful for people like you, OP 💓

I believe we should not judge because we are not God, as Christians. I also believe that it is still wrong to support because the lgbtq community is actively choosing their flesh over God. They are choosing worldy pleasures over their creator and I will not take a part of it. I will just keep my distance and be kind. I will not be a part of the prideful celebration. That is my choice, people may choose their own.

the people in my life know I’m brutally honest and i go to the Bible for my answers because the Bible is the only truth on this earth. if the Bible says it’s sin then it’s sin. even if it hurts to hear it’s still the truth.

the Bible says u can’t serve two masters. you’ll either love one and hate the other. if they know it’s wrong then they need to flee from it because that’s what God has called them to do. if someone wanted to commit suicide because they’re addicted to crystal meth i said crystal meth was bad for u, it still doesn’t change the truth or my stance on it. likewise just because someone doesn’t like that being gay is a sin, it doesn’t make it less of a sin.

literally what 😭 that’s such an incredibly idiotic thing to say. if me saying that homosexuality is prohibited by the Bible is causing u to be suicidal then maybe set up an appointment with a licensed psychiatrist.

one of the greatest part of this country is the fact that we have the right to religious freedom and speech. if i believe that being a homosexual is wrong because my Bible says so, i am entitled to that. if u disagree then that’s fine and i hope God changes ur heart.

Trust that I have read my bible as well. God has also commanded us not to judge, and it’s my firm belief that whatever one is doing, that’s between them and God. I am not homosexual and I never have been. But it’s a fact that the hate towards that community has ended lives. What I am saying is, rather than facilitate the hate, leave it to God and let others have joy. It’s not that hard

i think that we need to love like Christ and not condemn those around us but acknowledging that someone is in sin is not being judgmental. Jesus died for every sinner no matter the sin and i don’t believe in being hateful towards anyone for any reason. that doesn’t mean that as a christian i have to agree with peoples decisions just because it makes them more comfortable

Okay but if God has a plan for each of us, who is to say that it isn’t being gay that could bring someone into relationship to Christ? Maybe God plans to meet them there. I have several dear friends who were gay, met the Lord and got saved. We were all living in sin before Christ and none of us are Jesus so I would venture to say all of us do live in sin now. We are saved by the blood of the Lamb. Not to say his sacrifice is a pass to sin, but to say that we all had and have our own paths to him

i agree. the Bible says a physician doesn’t come for the healthy but for the sick. if that sin is what caused u to come to faith then God absolutely worked through that. what the enemy intended for evil, God turned into good. that doesn’t mean that we should advocated for sin tho

Think about your own life though. Imagine if your BC (before Christ) self was so hated for the life you were living that it drove you to feel as though life was no longer worth living. Would you want this for others? One suicide affects hundreds. Have you ever attended a funeral for a child who felt this way? I have. This is not an advocation for sin but an advocation for mental health and a protection of our loved ones.

i understand where ur coming from. i was a drug addict who had a mom that taught her about Jesus even when it was uncomfortable and didn’t concede with my lifestyle. but even if the Bible makes u uncomfortable it’s still important to hold tight to what it says. the Bible prohibits homosexuality and i stand by that even if the world doesn’t like it. i don’t agree with being hateful towards people that struggle with that sin but i also don’t think the sin itself is okay.

i hope the people in your life arent afraid to be honest and vulnerable with you because your "religious" views contribute to them losing their rights and their lives. everyone is born to be loved and cherished by jesus christ and because someone is a homosexual does not make them less worthy of love and acceptance. if being gay is a sin, you should not think yourself any superior to a gay person or look down on them, because you too are a sinner, just as we all are. jesus loves no matter what.

Thank you for sharing this. I also get where you are coming from, but we can disagree with it and love them regardless of it. We can not want that for ourselves but have joy for those around us simultaneously. Maybe in doing so, we can be good examples of Jesus. Proximity matters and you will have a hard time leading someone to Christ through calling people out. When we are led to Christ, he reveals the things we should remove from our lives and that is judgement for him alone to exact

did u miss the part where i said i used to be a drug addict ? i too and saved by grace. i can admit that i was and very much still am a sinner. i never said i was better then anyone. i’ve probably done worse things then most people but i still call it sin because it is. just like being a homosexual. i’m not taking away anyone’s rights i’m simply reiterating what the Bible says even if it makes some people uncomfortable.

if they’re truly saved then that feeling they have is conviction. God never wants someone to hurt or kill themselves but the devil does. he wants them to give into that temptation so that they fall further from God. suicide is not the answer. going straight to the Lord is. they need to confess and repent their sin and fight it every day. the Bible says to FLEE from lust. i’ve seen gay couples come to Christ and leave their relationships because their convictions

Leviticus also demands that you sell your daughters into slavery, never eat shellfish, never make physical contact with a woman on her period, burn bulls, and (last but not least) never get a haircut. Context on verses is important, and quoting from the Bible wholesale without doing any research is how you commit blatant blasphemy.

Abomination is a mistranslation by old white men with an agenda. The word used is more accurately translated as “not our custom” in Biblical Hebrew. If you’re not a linguist or biblical scholar familiar with the original languages the Bible was written in, you don’t know shit and you can sybau.
