I’m not a very political person. My internet presence consists of this, cat videos, some twitch channels, and the stuff my mom sends me from her Facebook that I ignore because the titles are things like “when you know you’re a good grandma” or “dog parents be like”.

Judging from the arguments I’ve been seeing against my will, I feel like getting politically active is going to make me miserable. From what I understand, he was an abrasive man that died in a way that was ironic and now people are conflicted on how they feel about it? Yikes. Not my cup of tea. I was happier not knowing anything about it.

To me, politics are people. It’s lives, it’s policy, it’s culture, economics, etc. It can be miserable and grim and make you hopeless. But it’s about people, and I care about people, and I’m willing to endure all of the soul sucking stuff even if it means just one person being able to live, learn, and grow more than they were the day before ‼️ everything is political because politics is in everything

By that definition, I’m already political just watching my cat videos and not being aware of whoever else might be out there. Either way, I think I’ll probably just take a little break. Delete the apps for a while. Take up crocheting like I’ve always wanted.

Crocheting is superrrrr super fun you should totally do it, start by learning what you want to make most. I loved the stuffed animals, so I learned using those Wooble kits (YouTube will do just fine, too), and I find it very relaxing and satisfying!! Good luck captain 🫡
