In my case, my dad always told me that birthdays shouldn’t be celebrated… so we never celebrated my birthday. So no one in my family has ever celebrated my birthday or said happy birthday.

We don’t really get to do anything we want on our birthdays cuz usually we either have to do them on our own or someone wants to do a bigass party even if we want to do something different. Then it just becomes a special occasion for other people instead of us now we have to sit through 2 hours of a party where you’re singled out but tired

Not usually cuz then people with the same mindset as family and friends start planning something different behind our backs and we have to act excited when its a surprise even if we already have different plans otherwise we’re the bad guy. Then we’re paranoid of people making plans for the day for us without us knowing
