Because we want to be polite and respectful and avoid potentially making you uncomfortable or coming off creepy. It’s just not worth it anymore for most of us. My gf and ex both approached me and made the first move, and from there I knew it was safe and okay to go from there. I get it sucks to have to make the first move, but after that point, you should be fine. Besides, gender roles are so outdated
