Hi OP, any culture needs resources to function with its traditions and rituals. When debt expands so high, in time the culture can’t propagate. In history, kingdoms issued jubilees to erase the debt because the craftsmen, warriors, and various important people were loan sharked by the mystic temples of the time. Today is no different and we are in a debt trap. Families are not forming nor people bonding.
