They wear masks and wash their hands frequently

Lowkey kinda are, but also they’re covered in ppe, constantly use hand sanitizer and wash their hands, are required to be up to date on vaccines in many hospitals/offices, and usually have insurance plans that actually let them afford meds to recover sooner
