The story isn’t bad but it’s clearly not the focus of the game, it was the gameplay. I loved how Jacks ethics are constantly questioned and despite that he recognizes he isn’t perfectly good but he will do anything for justice which I gotta respect. The gameplay and combat is easily the best part. I loved the healing mechanic being tied to attacking and ripping spines and I have never played a game with a more satisfying parry mechanic (cont.)

I specifically enjoy how difficult the parry can be to pull off but as you do it more and practice throughout the game it becomes so satisfying to knock attacks back. Lastly, the music rocks. The fights with Sam and Senator Armstrong are soooo good and the music is blaring the entire time and it rocks. It’s like corny as hell but it a good way and I could listen to the soundtrack all day.

Ultimately I’d definitely recommend it. It’s not super long it only took me like 8 hours to finish but it keeps the same energy and tone the entire way though and I never found myself too bored. The boss characters kinda suck (except for same and Armstrong) but the boss fights themselves rock
