Gross generalization. How many addicts have been freed, how many people cite their faith as the reason why they’re alive and well? Countless. I’m not even arguing solely for my own religion right now, I’m talking in general. They’ve done studies that show medical benefits to prayer. Have people done horrific things while waving the banners of their faith? Absolutely, but saying that only bad things come from religion is factually incorrect.

It’s really not, though. Prayer doesn’t do jack shit but make the individual feel better for doing less than nothing. Preying on people when they’re vulnerable is all your cults have. The amount of atrocities more than outweigh any possibility of defending the bullshit. There are no sky wizards, there are no talking snakes, grow up.
