I feel like women have this script in their minds about who you are and what kind of relationship you have and they can rationalize away a lot. They can deal with your farting and burping and lazy gifts and whatever but if you do something to seriously break the narrative, disillusionment sets in real quick. You suddenly find there was a lot she was not thrilled about and yeah she can turn real hostile

This, or if it's when you already have real feelings, the 'ick' is darker. Something that just kinda shatters your image of them and makes you feel ill. Like your bf you adore casually saying something blatantly misogynistic, feeling your stomach drop and your chest deflate and your brain goes 'Uh oh....'

If he says something I disagree with I’m more interested in understanding his POV. Usually the “misogynistic” or other hateful opinions can actually be explained with reason
