You, being a human who agreed to engage in a proposal of marriage.. aren’t able to call it off because of what reason exactly? Having not committed to the vows of marriage before a judge or peirs, you are bound by what laws in what state?

I didn’t agree to a proposal of marriage, my parents agreed to it for me.

If I broke it off my parents would kick me out and I’d be shunned from my community. So I guess the way out is to become homeless and lose all my loved ones
