They couldn’t bring it back in the same way. John Witherspoon AND Charlie Wilson have passed. It would be hard to make it work without grandad and Regina king would need to be on board. Because it just wouldn’t work if she didn’t do Riley and Huey

They messed it up by trying to modernize it and make storylines involving current pop culture things, which they sometimes did back in the og but they mostly just focused on character comedy, which is timeless and a big reason that show still holds up so well. I can’t remember the new ones super well but it’ll have like fry take out his iPhone and open TikTok and other dumb shit like that. It just ruined it for me, and genuinely didn’t make me laugh since it’s all been done before by other shows

It felt like it ruined the soul of the show and didn’t match the quality of the original series. Honestly would’ve preferred they left it alone.
