In a world full of hookups and FWBs, I just want to find that one girl who’s the love of my life and we want to spend the rest of our lives together and raise a family. I wanna know why it seems so impossible to find that nowadays.

This is part of the reason I’m so reluctant to date again after a 4 year relationship. I’m over hookup culture. I want to find my best friend.

Because no one in their right mind wants to have kids during a period of escalating fascism, climate crisis, economic freefall and skyrocketing rates of chronic illness when there’s no sign of these circumstances improving any time soon

Also because people are increasingly learning from their parents’ mistakes and accepting that it’s naive to try to make any “for the rest of my life” decisions in their early 20s

Even if it’s not “the rest of our lives” I’d just like to find some kinda long term relationship. Not a very short term something. Idk, maybe I’m too old school

Real, I think that much is fair & sensible. Not here to discourage loving partnerships at all, just the “happily ever after” stuff

Maybe a guy can get lucky and find happily ever after as well 🤷‍♂️
