I love when Christians try to make Jesus sound impressive by saying he resisted human temptation. Cool? Wasn’t he literally God? The same guy that could walk on water and cheat death? Bro just played the game of life with cheat codes on.

It’s impressive because he died for us when he didn’t have too

Well like you said he’s a God

Honestly, everyone talks the Bible into their own interpretations and the only way to truly understand a verse is to read the whole chapter.

Yeah but if he’s a God then why is his temporary death such a big deal? He was alive again three days later.

Because the sacrifice he made to be unclean

What did he sacrifice, exactly? His life that he casually resumed three days later? This is what doesn’t make any sense. You guys just pick and choose when he’s an all-powerful God and when he’s a person who can feel pain.

He’s both all the time

You gotta put yourself in the time. For hundreds of years there was talks of a messiah someone who God was sending to earth to save us. So being in that time and seeing someone who has performed miracles and like you said walked on water die and come back to life you don’t think that’s a big deal? Nobody knew that he was going to come back they assumed that he was just dead. I doubt Jesus wanted to die 💀 but he knew that’s what God put him on earth to do for us.

then you act like he was on earth for years after. It was only 40 days before he ascended to heaven

A human body is still going to feel pain, even if it is God’s human body

So he is all-powerful and can feel pain at the same time. Pretty simple concept

A human body also stays dead when it loses a pulse, sinks into water when they step on it. The dude only felt pain because you decided he did.

If you feel pain, then he feels pain too. That’s just how human bodies work

Yeah and that’s why things that defy what humans can do are called miracles

Is death really that impactful if he’s god? It means a lot to us because we’re mortal, and we don’t know exactly what happens after, we have things- people- we lose, we don’t know how we will be judged.

But I’m not a God. I’m not capable of coming back from the dead or being born from a virgin. Jesus defied human autonomy countless times. So how can you assume he felt pain just like all of us? Like I said, the dude showed up and played the game of life with cheat codes.

I don’t understand what being alive then vs now has to do with my post. All I’m saying is Christians applaud Jesus for being so good at being a person when they also believe he was not a person.

Cause you’re not listening. Jesus is the son of God his whole purpose for life was to come to earth, teach Gods word, and die for our sins. He was human. The only perfect human who has ever lived. Nobody has ever said he wasn’t a real person he bled and he died, he loved, and had emotions. He was the human version of God sent to teach his word and save lives. He knew what he was here to do.

How can you be a perfect human if you’re just a God pretending to be a human? You’re basically praising Superman for winning the special Olympics

I just don’t get what you’re trying to say. He’s not God pretending to be human.. He WAS God in human form. We don’t praise Jesus for being a perfect human. We praise him because he was the messiah. He saved lives, performed miracles, spread Gods word. Let himself get killed just to come back alive to prove everything that he’s been teaching then ascend to heaven. If that’s not someone to praise then who ?

Yes. He was God in human form. He supposedly performed miracles and regularly defied human anatomy. If he was God, then he was capable of literally anything. So why are we impressed with him being good at regular human things? He rose from the dead, so how do you know he felt any pain at all when he died? You don’t. You’re just cherry picking when the “magic” applies.

you’re just talking in circles rn. No where did I say we were impressed w him being good at regular human things. He.. was.. human. Resurrecting from the dead isn’t regular human things, performing miracles isn’t regular human things, being the freaking son of God isn’t regular human things. No body else in existence will be on earth as THE son of God. & the magic comment was in response to #4 comment saying if they introduced electricity to them then they would believe he or she was God.

Did you read my post? The whole point of what I’m talking about is how Jesus gets praised for resisting human temptation when he was literally God. The same logic that makes people like you assume he somehow felt pain when he died before coming back to life. You just switch back and forth between regarding him as a human and regarding him as God. The teachings of Christ collapse under their own weight.

You’re not understanding that he was both HUMAN & GOD. I don’t know how many times I have to stress that. He was just like you and I for the majority of his life. You’re not going to get any other answers than that. Our human brains can’t comprehend what God even really is. Jesus felt pain because he was humannnn 😫😫😫 if I put nails in your hands and a crown of thorns on your head you would feel it too.

Holy shit. Do you not realize how many times you just contradicted yourself? You keep saying he was both but keep talking like he switched between the two at will. Our brains can’t comprehend God but you know he felt pain when he came to Earth as a human with……Godly powers? Yes, I feel pain. Because I’m a regular human, not God. If you kill me I’m not gonna get up three days later like nothing happened. Jesus was obviously an outlier when it came to the limits of the human body.

Like dude you went from saying nothing he did was regular human things in the last comment to now saying he was just like you and I. It’s just one contradiction after another.

There is no switching between the 2. He was God on earth but was human. He was born didn’t just show up. When I said he was just like you and I I mean like feeling emotions, eating , sleeping etc. not performing miracles don’t be dense. I know he felt pain because he was human. We’re saying the same thing. Yes you’re not going to come back 3 days later because yes you’re not God. He is. Realistically there is no way to save definitely that he felt pain but because we’re not him but we do know

that he was in fact human. Imma let this conversation be because you will never get the answer that you’re looking for. We praise Jesus for who he is and what he’s done. He sacrificed his life for all of us to be able to still sin and not go straight to hell. I wouldn’t suggest you look more into this maybe you can find an answer that you will accept. God bless you

Wtf. HOW do we know?? You just said we’re not him and we can’t know if he felt pain! You literally said we can’t comprehend God but this whole time you’ve been arguing with me about the limits of how his human body worked, when it repeatedly defied nature. Don’t you see the hole in this argument? He could do literally anything when he was a human, so how does it make any sense to base the pain he felt on the rest of us? It sounds a lot like you actually do think you can comprehend God.

Sorry, but if God’s plan was to make the human race like and him and know more about him, then he really could not have chosen a worse tactic. Homie sent himself to Earth as one person and was just clear enough for 45,000 different denominations of his followers to develop.
