"Why do you want guys that are 5'10+ when you're only 5'2?" Why do you want girls who go to Pilates when you don't look like you go to the gym nearly enough? Maybe focus on yourself

The answer here is that adhering to overly high societal beauty standards as a relationship minimum rather than dating people you like as a person is bad.

Also not to downplay how shitty society is to people on the heavyset side (that’s a massive issue) it is also different than height considering height is like completely immutable.

The answer is i wear heels everyday and i will not be sexually attracted to someone im basically eye level with when we're out and if im not sexually attracted to you, im not gonna waste your time. I only date people i like as a person. They just have to be taller than I am in heels.

Also it's not completely different because the point I'm making is generally speaking people don't find women unattractive for not being tall yet people, especially fit people, do generally find people unattractive for not being in shape. I'm not going against any generalized beauty standard beyond personal preference by being a short woman. Fat men are going against a generalized beauty standard by being a fat man. I'm still fully in my league by being short and wanting to date taller men lol

Did you not basically just repeat “yeah I’m completely adhering to societal beauty standards”

Literally yes. Being a short woman doesn't dock you when it comes to being attractive. Being a fat man does dock you. Me being short and wanting to be with someone who's tall is a fair game preference if I'm attractive. You being fat and wanting to be with someone who's fit is not a fair game preference unless you've got some other things going for you that are enough to counter the fact that you're fat

Preferences are understandable everyone has them but I hate it when guys set like some mandatory weight of a woman or that they have to be below a height. Same applies for “men must be above 6 foot.” It’s a shitty standard and it’s pushing men to have entire-ass surgeries because they perceive being tall as necessary, when really they should be working on their personalities.
