did you check that specifically weed is on the panel? if so, it’s probably bc cannabis intoxication while on the job isn’t safe, and there isn’t precise enough testing to determine how recently you were high, since thc metabolites stay in your system above the test threshold for about a month.

It seems like it’s going to be a standard full drug panel which tbh I don’t get because im not operating machinery or anything it’s just a teaching assistant job 😭 maybe it’s just standard practice for this district. It feels so unfair like a breach of privacy.

that’s weird; maybe they’re testing for it but it doesn’t disqualify you from the job? i know someone that happened to, but they weren’t a teacher.
