No I think they’re still artist because they’re interpreting what’s written through their voice they still have influence on the final product but I can definitely see where you’re coming from I wish the writers would have their name bigger because they’re interpreting what’s definitely are the more important player in the production of the piece

It’s a catch 22 there are plenty of artists who don’t compose their own songs although they write them, are they no longer artists?
