As an asexual, I have an odd relationship with sex. I tentatively want to try sexual things with my boyfriend, but I’m anxious about the risk of getting pregnant. I always use condoms, but there’s still some risk, and I really don’t want to go on BC.

You could look into using a spermicide with your condom, if used properly can reduce risk of pregnancy by at least 95%
