I hate it when people who come from rich families say things like “My parents are rich. Not me.” No you’re associated with that money too. Stop trying to hide your privilege.

i come from a rich family and i don't hide it. i mean i don't flaunt money especially if i didn't make but if someone asks my parents got me car they paid my college tuition and we have a nice house, ill own up to being a daddy's money girl while also working to make my own.

You guys in the comments better watch how you talk about people. What goes around comes around. Be grateful and very much humble. “Sorry your parents didn’t work harder.” That’s the most rudest thing you can say to anyone. Karma doesn’t miss anyone babes

My parents have never helped me with a dime, both poor and deadbeats, never wanted to better their situation and kept having kids. As a teenager, I sold my old stuff to buy me things I wanted and basic necessities. I’m not gonna shame someone for having parents that help them out and pay for their things no matter how old they are.

Yeah. I get what they mean but like my dad paid my rent for the last year and my bills so I guess TECHNICALLY it’s ofc his money but if it’s being spent on me then obviously I’m benefiting from it. I can pay for things others can’t because I don’t have to worry about my housing, food, bills, etc. Me having so much disposable income while not working means that I’M effectively rich. But some wealthy families completely stop supporting their kids financially after 18/21 so I can see both sides.

Like if a parent stops giving their child any money then yeah they benefited from a great education & stuff but once they enter the workforce they aren’t rich anymore. If they make 100k on their salary but have to pay all of their own bills then they’re NOT rich. Maybe middle class or upper middle class but they can’t go buy a supercar in that salary. They can buy a midtier car like a Benz orBMW and likely have a car note like a regular person. Rich to me is being able to go buy anything I want.

Also, you guys lack the common sense and knowledge of the real world. So let me help you: there are people who work 2 jobs and still aren’t rich. So to devalue someone because they weren’t born wealthy as you says a lot about your personality. You lack the basic sense of human decency. That’s not your fault; it’s your parents’ fault. Sorry they didn’t teach you to treat people how you want to be treated. I feel bad they didn’t teach you respect and basic human decency. You may be wealthy

But you sure have a poor spirit. I feel bad for you guys, honestly. Misery loves company, and clearly the money you have isn’t making you happy. Good luck

Teaching children empathy is just as important as providing them with a trust fund. It seems like you guys’ parents lacked in that department.

you’re actually so dense. it is so hard to climb out of poverty when you’re born into it. sure it’s possible, but not for everyone.

a mercedes or a BMW is not mid tier (even though they're unreliable) please be serious. did your parents drive you to school in a maybach??

If you’re genuinely asking, there were several Maserati’s in my school parking lot that students were driving. I rode in a RR. So to me a Mercedes and bmw are mid tier. Middle class people look at them as nice cars but my wealth level allows me to look at other cars as nice. To me: ford, Toyota, Honda =lower; Benz, Mercedes, Audi = middle; Lamborghini, McLaren, RR = upper tier.

holy shit we are not in the same tax bracket at all, wow 😭 i've always thought of mercedes as higher tier, acura as slightly luxury and then stuff like honda or toyota as economy but still nice. rolls royce and all that is ultra luxury in my eyes

I live in one of the wealthiest counties in the US so that may be why? Like I had relatives come to visit once and they kept pointing out cars but to me it was like “….ok?” I guess they don’t see that kind of thing often? Here it’s not like every car is a lambo but like every time you drive you’ll see a high end car, if not multiple! So I would consider a Mercedes to be like a middle/upper middle class car. Like they earn 100-500k a year. Houses here start in the low millions so yeah!
