Okay I read the remarks of #2 & #4… I posted this on a whim because I read Israel yet again killed Palestinian civilians during a CEASEFIRE. I must have gotten choked up on the horrible hypocrisy to justify this GENOCIDE (yes it fucking is) that I had a freudian slip and said holocaust instead of genocide. #4 You’re right, I never ment to say the H word. The ‘story that needs to be passed down to generation to generation’ part reeks of something more sinister. The whole ‘never forget what the 🧃did’ mindset as if they’re the only guilty party in this tragic conflict.

The word Holocaust is not a universal word. It is specifically in reference to the most atrocious and industrialized genocide the modern world has seen, and specifically against Jewish people. Not all things are a “Holocaust”, and inverting or universalizing it, and ESPECIALLY weaponizing it against Jewish people, is gross

Israel is not going door to door and asking for the ethnic identity of its citizens, sending them to gas chambers, and using them as slaves for its war machine. It is not going to surrounding countries and telling them to turn in Palestinians to be sent to the gas chambers. It is not killing 6 million people. You recognize the difference?

Yes, it’s genocidal. But that’s not up for debate as you’ve pointed out. What is up for debate is the intent behind those who frequently trumpet “genocide” as if they are an honorable group who is standing up for what’s right, when really their motivations are far more insidious.

It’s not quite so simple though. It’s being used and abused as a basis to harass and attack the Jewish community everywhere, not merely as a basis to criticize Netanyahu or the Israeli government.
