How do you fry without splashing oil everywhere? I’ve had oil splash in my face enough time and in my eye once that I’m genuinely considering wearing safety goggles when I cook 😭

Deeper pot and some metal tongs or ladle. Also temp might be too high. Lastly less moisture it has the less it will splash so make sure utensils are dry and what you’re cooking doesn’t have too much water.

As a black person, throw it in and run away. Then keep your distance and use a long utensil to move it and stuff

Some foods already have oil in them so you don’t need a lot to fry them, and definitely lower the temperature of the oil. It just needs to be hot not scalding when you add the food depending then cover with a lid so the oil doesn’t splash everywhere and never add water directly to the oil and if it gets too hot and is splashing everywhere just lower the temp before removing the lid so you don’t burn yourself

Ty! Hm I think it might be the moisture that’s the problem bc I fry fish from frozen when I probablyyy shouldn’t

It’s definitely moisture then. Splashing happens bc the hot temp of the oil turns the water to steam, which rapidly expands and flings oil everywhere. Temperature doesn’t matter — exterior water content is the thing to watch out for.
