hey, guys, i love y’all, but when you say you want to get married in like less than five years and have five kids that’s a great. happy for u. but it’s about as realistic in this economy as buying a mansion as a teacher. so when i laugh, that’s why 👍

Just because you’re struggling financially, doesn’t mean everyone else is as well? Generational wealth is still a thing, parents give their kids money for weddings, houses, etc and trust funds can be handed over at 18/25/whenever. Or some people work really hard/get lucky and have high paying jobs where they can afford to raise a bigger family

A majority of people are, because the people who are rich with that generational wealth tend to have more of it than they could really dream of spending. Wealth concentration in the top few percent of Americans is well documented over the last ~50 years. While you may be able to live without lifting a finger, it is an absolute fantasy for a majority of people.

1. i’m not struggling financially 2. i’m acknowledging that having large families as a young couple is expensive for anyone. of course, if you are wealthy this doesn’t apply to you. but most of us are middle class or can’t depend on our parents wealth to carry us through life? i never said it was impossible though 💀
