i need new friends, they try to make me feel bad for not having to pay for college and getting money instead when my dad worked his ass off in the army for 25 years so i could go to college and be debt free😐

Imagine being pressed that your friend doesnt have to pay school back. That’s actually crazy. Im sorry to hear that. Im currently going to school too on financial aid, so im not paying either.

Next time one of them says something say something like “every time you guys bring up that my education is covered I feel like you devalue the amount of work my father put into his time sacrificing his life for our country, it may look free but there was still a cost”

Because it literally wasn’t free your education is a benefit of his service their parents were likely also offered similar opportunities to go into the military etc but they didn’t have the circumstances that led to your fathers choices and as such he has different outcomes from his different circumstances and so do you

Whatever reason you have for not being the one to directly subsidize the cost of your education is your business and they should mind their own but sense they aren’t you deserve the chance to be real with them
