legitimately, like every time i go grocery shopping, i can’t even buy freezer stuff for the freezer because it’s like already full of my roommates stuff and two of them do meal prep though so like, i understand that but it’s been happening for a few months now though (i have been here since september and it’s only two of my roommates who do it because we had only one new roommate move in since my one roommate had moved out in january since her program ended)

The way we tried/did it was one roommate got the top shelf, one got the middle, and the other two split the bottom shelf but the drawers were only for the people sharing the bottom shelf. So it technically all was kinda even. The freezer never had room because of our one roommate who overtook everything. But we tried to do two people on the top and two people on the bottom and we utilized the door part for smaller frozen food things or ice packs

I can’t use my freezer bc my roommate has an open thing of chicken in a zip lock bag that she had already defrosted that I fear that might infect everything with fucking salmonella 😭

like, what i could probably do is put a note on the fridge just maybe letting them know that i would like to buy freezer stuff as well and that just to be more courteous of how much freezer stuff they are buying when they go grocery shopping and everything like, we haven’t really had any issues with really much anything expect for some tiny issues here and there

I’d just throw it away and clean everything down. And express to them what is going on and how that’s not safe for everyone else’s food. Maybe offer to buy them new chicken but that’s gross for everyone and not safe

I don’t want to do that because I hate confrontation the idea of doing that makes me wanna vomit I know I asked for advice but throwing it out isn’t an option

But you shouldn’t be getting sick over it/not able to use the space. I would throw it away and send a message or see if anybody says anything and then say you did it
