hi i dye my hair black all the time here- stand on a towel while you squeeze the dye into your hair and put a plastic grocery bag over it while it sits- have it sit for about 5ish min longer than needed then it shouldn’t be so messy in the shower at the end

it should be fine just keep it under running water till the water runs clear, shower staining usually comes from when the dye drips onto a surface that isn’t actively being rinsed on
