Can I get fired for having bipolar? Currently manic and it isn’t affecting my job but I’m worried that someone might find out and I’ll get termed

No, they cannot fire you for being bipolar that would be discrimination, but if you are showing manic symptoms and are unsafe, they can escalate the situation and if they deem you to be a danger to yourself or others, they can term you for that I believe or at least I’ve heard of it happening before

fellow bipolar baddie here (type 2), this is my second program and they cannot fire you because of that buttt it did make my first program difficult to the point I had to self term

I mean I do show manic symptoms, but it’s nothing that would make anything unsafe. It’s mostly just I get extra chatty and losing track of thought/not sleeping enough.

That’s fair I’m in the same boat and I’ve decided that for me it’s best to just go home on my own terms. I’ve noticed the program is really affecting my mental health and I want to take care of you.

I can’t term. I have nowhere to go back home. I’d rather be miserable mentally and be here than feel the same and be homeless back home

like I don’t know what my life looks like six months from now. my mother (the only parent I could stay with, dad is a drug addict) straight up told me I can’t stay with her. There is no family and no friends that can put me up. So I’m desperately trying to find something before the end of my program

I’m also type two, I’d term but I literally can’t because I don’t have a living situation in my state until my end date
