i’m running a campaign for a two person party, and they cover each other’s weakness fairly well, one player is significantly better suited for out of combat encounters whereas the other is both a tank and a powerhouse.

i am just concerned and don’t want either to feel completely left out when the other is in their home field. i have ideas on how to make the combat-oriented character better out of combat, but the non-combat built one is a bard/monk, and i’m trying to build unique items that would suit them in a fight, that also wouldn’t just be better off in the hands of the powerhouse

I would lean into a more supportive role for the non combat oriented one. They’re a bard so they already have built in support in the form of bardic inspiration. I’m no expert on bards or monks (I play stars Druid) but I am a decent support player. Spells and items that lean into support would do well
