WOTC infuriates me because we still don’t have any 5e or 5.5e material for desert based campaigns yet the consistently make artwork and give attention to the only interesting Mummy Lord villain in DnD. Like a perfect module is staring right at them.

Wizards infuriates me for a LOT of reasons but I think the biggest one is creating an entirely new edition that just repackages everything that was “new” to us for a solid ten years. Also every goddamn module except Icewind Dale is just more sword coast shite, there’s SO MUCH MORE that they can actually do

Any non-Strahd Ravenloft campaign would sell amazingly. It’s ridiculous that he’s hogged every Ravenloft campaign in every edition, especially since 5.5e doesn’t seem to be getting a new one.

It’s a shame that outside of campaigns like Out of the Abyss, Curse of Strahd, Shadow of the Dragon Queen, Rime of the Frostmaiden, Wild Beyond the Witchlight, and Ghosts of Saltmarsh, pretty much every campaign is set at some point in the Sword Coast. Even Tomb of Annihilation is just an updated version of an older campaign too. The Forgotten Realms has so many cool locations outside of the Sword Coast and they didn’t take advantage of that.

Even CoS like begins typically in the swordcoast too. But I feel like there’s no coincidence that those are literally the best campaigns. But I agree like where’s a Calibash or Thay book?

TBF CoS isn’t really setting specific and can be vague really but yeah I agree. But hell, where’s the Sea of Fallen Stars or Zakhara? The Forgotten Realms has SO many cool places. And despite their focus on the Sword Coast for some reason Neverwinter is completely ignored? Like what is the deal with that?

Right neverwinter could have its own dedicated splat. It’s a location I would argue more noteworthy and with more written about it than even Baldur’s Gate or Waterdeep.

They had the potential to do the easiest Aboleth campaign in the world with a Sea of Fallen Stars campaign which is a monster they clearly saw get a massive increase in popularity in 5e and they didn’t do anything with it. IDK what WOTC is doing with even setting a GIANT campaign in the Sword Coast. That seems like such a waste.

Neverwinter is hands down the best city on the sword coast

Lord Neverember is deadass one of the most interesting characters in the Sword Coast mythos, not even including all Neverwinter’s ties to Orc stories, the Chasm, and even the Aboleth Cult that exist in the city. Baldur’s Gate is extremely tied to basically only Nine Hells and Candlekeep and Waterdeep has the crime lords really. Neverwinter is a much richer city in terms of amount of content.

While we’re at it can we get a Rashemen source book?

Tbh the lack of fleshing out of settings (among issues with the actual quality of rules presented) in 5+5.5e has led me to looking and trying other games like Runequest roleplaying in Glorantha

Kinda ridiculous that the only settings expansions they have done so far is a new version of the Sword Coast Adventure’s guide, a MTG setting, and now Ravenloft again. Like they made the choice to have 5.5e’s default setting be Greyhawk and yet we still don’t have a Greyhawk book.
