I’d cut a cardboard box to fit over top of the tank and just put that on and a couple things on top of it any time you have inspections. Idk about your school but at mine they can’t look inside boxes and such.

They have a “no animals other than fish and ESA dog or cat” don’t allow reptiles, invertebrates, or amphibians
