My previous poll asked two questions in one which may have skewed the results. So I ask: should it be illegal for apple and other smartphone manufacturers to introduce new models every single year?

What if a new iPhone was released every 3 years instead of every single @#$%in’ year?

Why should this be illegal? I think instead we should make it illegal to plan obsolescence into their products

i mean i don’t think so but i think it should be illegal for apple and other electronics to purposefully make their quality go down right when the new ones come out so you have no choice but to upgrade

They can make as many iPhones as they want but they shouldn’t be able to force us to buy new ones

No one is forcing anyone to buy a new phone.

Such a one dimensional take, of course nobody’s ~forcing~ u, but it eventually becomes necessary to buy a new phone bc it’s made very difficult to repair these things, to the point that it’s more cost effective to create more waste and purchase a new phone, continuing the cycle
