unfortunately almost every job market sucks right now, but you can make yourself a more attractive candidate by participating in honors societies and extra projects now

Stay in school as long as you can. Finding jobs in the field is tough, even tougher now that so much funding is/has been cut. If you hadn’t thought of grad school, start thinking abt doing that post undergrad, just until admin changes or finally realizes how badly they’re fucking everything up

environmental/conservation type jobs were hard to get when the job market was booming. its hard but you can definitely find a job. non profits and federal jobs are just a shitshow right now. i would recomend you look into stephanie manka, fancy scientist on most social media platforms. she has a lot of great resources and training courses on filling out job apps and getting jobs in our field

Tbh in fisheries the market isn’t bad. If you’re interested in management or conservation there’s always seasonal jobs available to help get your foot in the door

join a conservation corps! get your foot in the door for conservation and you can get jobs easier at national/state parks
