What are your thoughts on double majoring in environmental fields? I’m trying to decide if it is worth it!

I did this! There was a lot of crossover for the classes so I didn’t really spend extra time and I feel like I have a broader understanding of multiple topics than the specific understanding of a few I had when I didn’t double major. (Majored in natural resource conservation and management focused in forestry AND wildlife biology with a concentration in wildlife rehabilitation)

I’m doing it and so far the amount of crossover has made it super easy credits wise and I feel like my knowledge and experience are way broader then If i were to have only done one.

Didn’t do two env fields but i did do history (natural focus) and environmental science and sustainability. Both of them gave me some AMAZING insight into what was i was learning/reading/doing! If you have the resources to support yourself through the higher work do it!!

That is awesome!! I’m currently majoring in Geoscience and Environmental Science with a focus on Geology, so a lot of crossover as well! As of right now I’m just trying to determine if it is worth it to spend the extra time in school on degrees so similar to one another but the double majoring has given me a broader understanding of the topics as well!
