I believe it’s a fox. Coyotes have a wider gait, foxes walk almost in-line with each step. It also looks like smaller paws.

yeah it looks like some kind of canine, going off of context prolly not domestic due to not having human footprints with it

This is what I was thinking. I found them in the woods behind my house, and I’ve heard coyotes howling while standing on my deck late at night. There is a farm with a giant field along the woods a couple houses over and I think that’s where I hear them howling from

I would think fox prints would be closer together due to their smaller frame/legs.

Maybe like 8 to 10 inches apart? But that’s just an estimate from looking at the picture and thinking about the area

Yeahh if they’re that far apart and that deep I think you’re right on it being a coyote, I can’t see a fox keeping that pace
