I wholeheartedly support public transit and urban density for lowering emissions to get less people burning gas and lower emissions while making highways into autobahns. I will always love my big v8 that gets 7 smiles per gallon

And I fully support urban living as it’s more environmentally practical but I wanna live in the country

I live in the city and take the bus to class or walk every day but on weekends I love driving and nothing can ever replace the thrill of combustion. Give free buses and EVs to the people that don’t care about the driving experience (most of yall and that’s ok we all have hobbies) gas is a finite resource wasted on those that don’t like driving

Similar to that I want like. A house. I just want to own property outright and share walls with NO ONE. No renting no fucking banks holding eviction over my head. Just mine. Maybe not in the country cause I like being at least sort of near people but also tbh having my own green-space would be awesome. Also for an actual hot take it’s that individual choices are way less important to focus on than broad change that governments and corporations are able to do/stop doing the bad shit.

Like I’ll make changes where I’m able but it just really pales in comparison scale-wise and I think after a point it’s just wasted effort when instead atp you could just use it for political action.
