First time ever sing a Texas ringtail cat!!! My cat was staring intensely out the window at midnight and I had to see what she was looking at and got this delightful visitor drinking water :) probably won’t see her again since they’re elusive and shy
That is pretty awesome. I believe they are relatives of Raccoons and Coatis!

Omg I love these guys 🥺They are also called Miner’s Cats because miners used to use them as mousers.

I feel blessed by the universe I got to see it! So far I’ve seen foxes, coyotes, hawks, owls, tons of raccoons and possums, but didn’t even dream I’d get to witness these guys!

I’m in Austin! Chances of seeing them are very very rare, that’s why I was so excited about this little guy :)

I did initially think it was a cat until I got a second look😂 my apartment was built on an old rock quarry so it’s prime real estate for these guys
