How do you guys combat climate grief?? I’ve been feeling it so intensely lately and it feels overwhelming.

gratitude expressed toward the earth for every day that we have her 🥲 there’s a good audio reading of a children’s book about it by Chief Jake Swamp, called “Giving Thanks: A Native American Good Morning Message” with animated illustrations from the book on YouTube. Chief Jake Swamp narrates it too in both English and Mohawk languages too. It helps me to listen or read it every morning. I’ve started reciting it aloud while I watch out the window or while grounding out in the grass too.

i just think that if we do trigger an extinction event and humanity and current animal/plant population die out, that we are only like one billionth of the way through the earths potential lifespan under our sun and the likelihood she will recover and create new, beautiful life is highly likely. Our lifespans are infinitesimal compared to earths so we just gotta do what we can as a species and accept that one day we will die out, and the rest is out of our hands.

I go out and do as much photography as I can as a sort of for myself documentary vibe. I go and post some of the really really ameture at best photos and do what I can to remind myself that we still have some. Also I recommend joining a local club or something currently making change in your town to try and help them better the planet

Realize India and China are doing most of the climate change, have been since the 90s, nothing will ever be done to stop them so don’t worry about your irrelevant impact on the environment. Maybe join a stream cleaning club or something

I’m going to look into this, thanks for the recommendation. And for suggesting something I can actually feasibly do.
