I think there are a lot of professionals here. Any advice on perusing an environmental based degree like biology, environmental science, agriculture, ecology etc?

I think the best thing for to do is find somewhere that believes in hands on learning instead of making you sit in a classroom for hours. I was doing underwater biodiversity surveys in my first semester. That type of thing for me proves that this is really what I want to do yk?

Even tho they aren’t as fun as field-based classes, make sure to take your stats, data analysis, and other related classes. Really, these just help you learn commonly used tech like Excel (v important), R, and even things like ArcGIS (yes it’s maps but still v good skill to have. Also, most jobs don’t necessarily care abt the degree, but rather the relevant classes you’ve taken. Most importantly: the experience you have is critical! This is what most jobs are looking at first and foremost
