-nearby, including a bush and the dirt next to it. I realized after that it would likely have a negative environmental impact, but the only other option (exterminator) would have been costly and another person living here would have sprayed it if I didn’t anyways and they’re much less agile than me making them more likely to get stung

Girl it’s fine, sometimes you have to do stuff like that for people’s safety. It’s just a squirt of wasp spray, it’s not like you burned the bush and salted the earth. A stray band is not going to do anything significant long-term
