join your local backcountry horsemen of america chapter and then you can figure out if you want to do it professionally or just recreationally. i learned from a local outfitter who happens to be probably one of the best you could learn from but honestly not all outfitters are the same, some have really poor horsemanship practices so i recommend going through bcha. if you like equines and backcountry camping it's amazing, it's pretty dangerous but worth it imo
