Only one specific kind of maple tree (maybe sugar maple? The leaves are wide and super bright red) is really turning colors here in Minnesota. The others are slowly turning yellowish but they’re still mostly green. And some of them aren’t changing at all.

These are California Black Oaks (Quercus kelloggii). We got a random winter storm this week. About 10” at 9000’

same in iowa! still lots of green here. pops of yellow and red every now and again

It’s so odd. And probably bad. But my mental health is better with greenery so I’m not mad I guess😭 But yea it’s concerning. At least we aren’t having the issue I’ve heard some people mention where the leaves are falling off just still green. Cause at least for me they’re still only falling once they turn colors
