If in California I highly encourage you to go for a State Gov Environment Scientist job. The list eligibility exam is online with no time requirement you can leave and come back to it. Once you have that there are ES jobs constantly posted on CalCareers. I did that and mass applied. Checked back every week for the new listings and got a job 7 months out grad. Great benefits pension and interesting rewarding work

luckily meteorology is a bit easier than many others, but unless you wanna do broadcast, almost every job wants AT LEAST 2 years of experience for an ENTRY LEVEL POSTIONS😭 meanwhile i had no internships in college because i was doing classes every break so i would have less loans. but yeah fuck this job market

It’s been the bane of my existence since graduation. And I am in shambles now after my third temporary job ended. Living my worst life bc any hope has been beaten down. Every time I see a seasonal job post it feels like a cruel joke and I’m the 🤡. I wanna be positive but it’s the truth that a lot of us are gonna have to change our dreams bc there really aren’t enough permanent jobs in ecology and the like. I’m v mad that my college didn’t prepare me for this. But keep pushing ig

It’s so disheartening applying to jobs that even high schoolers would qualify for. I have a relevant major, two minors, and four years experience in my field and yet I’ve been unemployed for 5 months now

When I picked this field, I was excited about the opportunities to travel internationally for temporary work and now I’m learning that nobody is hiring if you don’t have a local drivers license, personal transportation, and permission to work in the country. If anyone knows of a wildlife/education org that would actually sponsor a visa, please tell me
