Multiple factors. I’d say the biggest one is that it’s a large scale issue. Climate change denial is less common than you’d think. That’s not the reason people generally don’t care. The real reason, in my opinion anyways, is that the destruction of our planet is such a large, complex issue. And it seems overwhelming. So many people may not notice their impact on the environment or feel like there’s no point in doing anything to help.

people want to keep eating animal products and buying shit & there’s not enough regulations to stop companies from supplying that in the cheapest way possible. so so incredibly frustrating
