we planted native grasses all along the border of our retention pond; we have stopped spraying ALL pesticides and chemicals in the pond. since doing so we have seen a return of shellfish to the bed of the pond, which has also resulted in a number of birds like anhingas coming and hanging out in the water!

i am trying to convince my mom to get involved with the county commission to pass local ordinances requiring ALL HOAs to only work with environmentally and native-friendly, certified landscapers!

there is someone on the board keeping much better record than me lol, i'm more of a witness to this process than an involved actor except for when it comes to things my mom needs tech help with
