Oscar’s radio made it seem like the team already had predetermined guidelines for position swaps. If his claims were true, then whatever pact the team and drivers had agreed upon before the race was nulled.

It’s all in the phrasing tbh. Mentioning Hungary was a low blow and all it did was poke the bear. The rest of this season is going to be interesting for McLaren.

idk anything about that. It just felt like oscar didn’t want them to switch positions because he was ahead. if that was the case and they went back on their word then it’s fucked up

McLaren likely had some sort of “plan” for if an accidental undercut were to occur which technically it did. However, the undercut didn’t just happen it was because of Lando’s slow stop which from Oscar’s radio leads us to believe the convo was don’t switch so

From lando’s perspective it makes sense to swap. From Oscar’s it’s bullshit and just the luck of racing. All in all: McLaren is fucking ridiculous and makes things way more complicated than they need to be

What they should’ve done was a don’t fight order when Lando caught up. Lando had a way better pace, so he would’ve caught up within 2 laps regardless.
