It’s different because McLaren didn’t force oscar to have the 2nd stop. Oscar got the 2nd stop because he was the 2nd driver. If Lando got the 2nd stop again they would have them switch because the 1st driver always gets the first stop unless the team interferes

but yeah it sucks it’s just the order that they do it. If Lando pitted first and was slow on the stop and oscar overcut him in that race I would really like to think they wouldn’t have switched but that’s just an if

I have a feeling they would have made them switch 😂

obviously oscar was the priority that race. I’m sure McLaren likes the driver winning the drivers championship, but yeah Lando has been with the team for a lot longer. Lando also didn’t do extremely shady shit when joining the team which is a red flag. So i can see why they favor the veteran driver over the guy who is going to leave the first opportunity he gets

If they did then It would 100% be wrong. The justification is they prioritized oscar by pitting him first which was unfair to lando because the lead driver always gets the first stop. if that didn’t happen there’s no reason for the team to intervene

The “shady stuff” was just Oscar signing a contract with McLaren and not alpine and alpine assuming he was gonna sign a contract with them. 100% alpines fault

If alpine had reason to believe oscar was going to sign the contract it seems to me there is something more to that situation than just “oscar didn’t sign” I think Oscar verbally commited to being with alpine and then backed out as soon as he got the offer from McLaren. Just given who he is it makes sense he would do whatever he could to benefit himself at the demise of others

I mean I’m I don’t hate any driver or really like any one in particular. But Oscar is pretty low on the list. He’s a cry baby worse than lando if we are being real. Both of them suck
