Genuinely, what is going to happen in Baku? That flat out section at the end is 20+ seconds long, and these batteries go completely flat in under 10. Combine that with the super clipping and the closure rates are going to be absurdly dangerous
genuinely i think the only option is to severely limit the total energy deployment per lap, and limit the peak power deployed by the battery. the cars can’t regenerate enough energy, which is why we get all the clipping and absurd harvesting.

I don’t think that’s necessarily the case; lap times would increase, but the drivers would actually be able to push the car and drive on the limit. As it stands they just can’t harvest enough energy, and I don’t see how the FIA can change anything to resolve that
