I think most of it is them being uneducated since that’s trump main audience. When my aunt found out that he was closing the department of education, she thought that it was a good thing… His followers are like cult members that are so easily convinced by every word he says. There’s also that mindset of “well that won’t happen to me so I don’t need to worry about it.” And then they’re upset when it does affect them. But yeah this can be super frustrating to deal with
