My dad is as well: 4 years no contact in December. My only regret is that I wish I had done it sooner

No contact with my narcissistic dad in April and I haven’t felt suicidal since. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made for myself.

Best thing you can do with a narcissist is stop giving them “supply”. In other words, act if whatever they say or do doesn’t interest you in the least. When they learn you won’t give them the reaction they crave, they move on. I didn’t have to ghost my mom, she ghosted me when I stopped reacting. Haven’t seen her in 4 years now and she only calls 1-2 times a year. Now when she calls I act disinterested as hell even tho i now find her tragically humorous. Hang in there!
