My parents have different politics and will rope me into their arguments cause I’m the “family expert” (I’m a history/politics double major) and then proceed to completely ignore everything I say to keep yelling at each other, only now I’m stuck in the room with them

No that’s so real…. They’ll ask you for your opinion and when you ether say your own opinion or give a neutral response, they ether get mad or try to “mansplain” their thoughts as if to change your mind and get you on their side
