I’m not going to my college graduation but how do I politely tell my parents not to post anything about it online? I don’t mind if they talk about it directly to family but I stopped using social media bc I dont want my personal life shared

My dad is obsessed with ChatGPT and before I deleted my Facebook he would always post stitched photos of everyone together on Facebook (like at “us” at a “family dinner”) so I feel like he’ll just run a photo through chatgpt of me in a gown and post about my graduation

I would ask abt their socials and try to feel out if they’re intending to post anything abt ur graduation. If they are, maybe mention how you haven’t been feeling comfortable sharing your life on socials

He definitely does and would plan on posting something. Thats why I don’t plan on telling him until thanksgiving or something that I graduated and beg him to not post anything by saying “I deleted my social media for a reason. Don’t post about my life”

Like during a family dinner he was laughing once saying “let me take a photo of you” and kept trying to force me to pose after I said no multiple times and took a burst of photos then posted it on Facebook, this was before I deleted my profile lol (you can tell I wasn’t “smiling for the camera” my head was down and I was looking away).
