He isn't actively applying to jobs and he hasn't been for years. He's trying to get "disability money" even though he has no disability. A bunch of bs on his end and my mom is constantly pissed about it. She's so unhappy. I'm working to pay tuition so she doesn't have to.

Because being unemployed is not a trait of his. Is a byproduct of a shit economic climate. Also, why would she divorce him from losing his job. Chances are he’ll be back at work with a few weeks

I’m gonna play devils advocate here. If he’s just in a slump after losing his job then you are right. But there are also people in this world that absolutely refuse to work and just bum off others. I have a cousin like this that just bums off my grandma and is only surviving because of her and whatever scraps are left of his inheritance money, he is perfectly capable of working but doesn’t even though my grandma is very poor.
